Finally, tonight I post about my 2nd city.  No not Chicago but New Orleans.  I've been to New Orleans six times in my life and to the Superdome five.  Many of my friends have some sort of weird connection with the bayou.  Some of my better schoolmates lived in New Orleans and I was convinced that I was going to go to Tulane for Med School.  Hell, I ( Read more... )

Fuck what that guy above me had to say.

Thank you for this post. I've been a resident of Slidell, LA for a few years now, and it really has been a long road for the past year. I will be in that number (to watch the SAINTS go marching in) on Monday night, and it will basically be a relief to see them come back home. All of the hype around this game is well deserved, because we've all been through so much in this area.

Even if you are in Chicago, thanks.

This is our Superbowl.

Indeed it is our Superbowl. I really wish that I could be there but I wouldn't take that away from anyone who wanted to go to the game. I can't imagine what you've been through personally because even in Slidell I know the Hurricane had a gigantic effect. One of my friends lives in Metairie and has told me about that area and they didn't get the worst of it.

Regardless of what happens, know that there are those outside of the area that are in the Gulf Coast's corner.

Its unlike any other American city -- in some ways good and in some ways bad but regardless, I couldn't imagine there not being a NOLA. It was good to see you Saturday. Hopefully, your weekend home was fun and fullfilling!!!!
