So the arm? Broken. Linear fracture in the head of the radius. Meaning, a small break in the smaller of the two forearm bones, up near the elbow. It was getting harder to turn my hand and to push buttons and do certain tasks so I went to have an Xray. I haven't been back to the doctor after the Xray so I don't know what to do. I'll just keep it ( Read more... )

ouch!

if you have a bandage try strapping it and keeping it as immobile as possible until the doc tell your what he needs to do.
yes that means no cooking or typing (or only with the non broken one)
you should have gone right back to the doctor young lady! wags finger ;)

I tried to go back to the doctor but they were closed after the X-ray finished and I figured the emergency department wouldn't give me anything but a long wait.. I survived and now am all immobilised with a cuff and collar, though I am cheating and typing :)

I'm shocked about Lux, and yet...not shocked. Heart condition huh? Well we all know what that means.

Saw them in '95, they played a shed in Perth and it seemed like a suitable venue - it was a wild ride.

Heh, yeah. I'm no epidemiologist but there's a reason why they say live fast die young.

Look at you Miss Hard-arse.
I can't believe you lasted this long before you though maybe it really was a bit to sore.
Do you get a cast?
I had a dream last night that I fell down the stairs and broke my wris. Maybe my mind was trying to tell you something.

We'll be home in 23 days. Any chance we as can convince you two to fly down.

I'm not a hard-arse! I swear. I've been asking Dennis to do things and shirking all manner of housework :) No cast though. Just a foam collar-and-cuff. Looks pretty daggy but garners all kinds of sympathetic looks from passers-by.

Don't break your wrist! Though I do love it when dreams are all synchronous with real life.

We are totally going to be in Melbourne to see you! We were thinking the weekend of the 6th - 8th March?
