The Just Us League of America - 2009 Edition

one of the coolest personal developments of 2009 has been my return to the softball field with The Just Us League of America, in the Chicago gay softball league. as many know, it was at our first day of games last year that i pulverized my left knee which led to surgery, an entire missed season, and practically a full year of rehab and recovery.

Paul, the first ump, was very complimentary during the game as well. We tend to have this ongoing conversation during the game, and one of the thing he has mentioned in the three games i've caught in front of him is that we've gotten better - not just the new players, but the existing players have all started to show all the hard work we've put in for 2-3 years.

Thanks for the compliments on the photos, Owen! The team this year is definitely great. I always look forward to the games. I can't believe that before the season started I was on the fence about coming back this year.

I was looking for the upcoming schedule of games on the Web, but I couldn't find it. I'd actually like to make it to some of the games this year instead of wandering around lost or looking for parking :)
