On Donuts: From The IM Logs

murphy_slaw: Donuts are sort of the culinary manifestation of regret, aren't they?
murphy_slaw: I mean, as soon as you eat a donut
murphy_slaw: you can immediately think of something else you would rather have eaten.
murphy_slaw: Donuts are never a good idea in hindsight.

This is the case for most guilty pleasures I think. After indulging you think to yourself, "I really should have done ______ instead." But, I do love the phrase "culinary manifestation of regret". I am going to have to figure out other uses for it so I can say it more often.

Pretty much how I feel about Kentucky Fried Chicken.

They had it right in "So I Married An Axe Murderer", they *do* put something in it that makes you crave it every fortnight... but about 10 minutes after I do, my stomach gives me the "What the fuck do you think you're doing, man?!?!"

Le sigh.
