Remembering her honours her memory, even if you can't get to the cemetery to visit her grave. Lighting a candle is something I do to commemorate someone.
I really can't believe it's been that long. I've said it before, but I'm really glad I got to meet her. Both of your parents made me feel so welcome in their home, and I'll never forget either of them. She was a wonderful lady, very accommodating and very interesting in conversation. I don't know what to suggest with regard to honouring her memory, but one thing I do believe in that regard is that living your life and making something good of it is the best tribute you can pay to your parents, in life or in death.

She'll always be with you, in a sense.
*hugs*
