Here in class, but it's the part that I'm not teaching so I can get all caught up on things. Like LJ. *grin* I have to say that at times it's kind of painful to have the SMEs teach the class because they really aren't trainers and they are lacking in a bit of the classroom skills necessary. Halloween panic
Well, silly me let time get away from me and I didn't get one piece of my costume. I was thinking about updating the glam goth girl with a new corset since my old one was too small and I sold it to Cat. But now I can't get the one I want from Fredricks and now I have a party to go to on Saturday with the theatre crowd and I really do want to wear ( Read more... ) -
Saturday working fun
Still here at work. Been here since about 7:40. Sigh! At least it's kind of a rainy day so I don't feel ripped off by missing a day. Though it looks like I will need to come back in tomorrow. To finish my exercises since the system is working really slow. Though I might do some today since John won't be home til after 6:00. It would be nice ( Read more... ) -
Yes, I am still alive
No, work hasn't killed me yet. Though this week it's definitely made a good effort at it. Lots of 10-12 hour days including Monday which was supposed to be a vacation day for me. And best of all, I'm going in today to teach a class. Gotta love the Saturday training. I did have a nice few days off last week to go to Boulder for Pete and Kristin ( Read more... ) -

Yep, I am now in the West. I have to admit that it is strange seeing mountains. Like tall mountains. I know we have mountains in NC, but they are 4+ hours away from me and they are little mountains with trees on them. Here they are tall and have snow on them ( Read more... ) -
Gotta love those gas prices not coming down...
Once again, NC has the 3rd highest gas prices in the country. The gas station by my house is 3.69. I talked to my Mom last night and in Indiana, their gas is about 2.69. Why is there such a huge difference in prices? I know the gas tax counts for a lot of it, but come on...Sigh. I seriously doubt that us here in NC will see gas below $3.00 any ( Read more... ) -
I hate stupid spam political voicemails
Yep, I really hate them. I would have to say every day this week and most of last week I've gotten a voicemail at home from someone calling on behalf of John McCain. It's been a different recorded person leaving the message every day. Not to mention the 4-5 other callers that don't leave a message every day, it's all adding up to me just not ( Read more... ) -

Why is it that politicians are always related to someone famous? And it usually turns out to be someone like Princess Diana or Brad Pitt? What makes politicians so special?
