The end of a lot of things

Mar 28, 2010 03:35

The end of this break felt like the last page for a lot of chapters simultaneously. I'm still going hiking tomorrow morning and grabbing lunch, but after that, it's a day chock full of packing and heading back to school for another quarter of my third year ( Read more... )

karaoke, lunchbox, growing pains, epiphany, friendships, pushing over, standing firm, good music, school

Hrm, I agree with a lot of your observations and conclusions up until the last bit. Like, learning to deal with loneliness and becoming self-reliant is a very valuable skill, but that's not necessarily the same as having to put up force fields around you.

I never thought there was anything wrong with Mr. Nice Guy. Mr. Nice Guy doesn't necessarily mean Mr. Needy, and Mr. Needy CERTAINLY doesn't necessarily mean Mr. Nice. (Far from it.)

Also, I am amused that it took a conversation about guys' ankles and calves to get you to that epiphany, rofl.

But yes, I am glad that you have realized your subconscious attempt to convince people to live life according to your standards. Live and let (others) live.

Hachikuro~~ <3 <3 (Wait, so the manga continues beyond the anime??)

your essay posts give me headaches XD

You're not Mr. Needy. You're such a Mr. Nice Guy that I often take you for granted, so I really really really apologize for times when I fail to recognize what an amazing and supportive friend you are. :)

it's that being taken for granted that i need to get away from. don't get me wrong, you're still my go-to girl for just about everything, haha (aside from my boo, that is. OHHHH)
don't apologize. just make up by being equally or greater awesome :)

dude Honey and Clover was amazingly inspirational when I was feeling lonely/lost/confused/frustrated in my freshman year. I still remember when the girl said something like, "How do you know when to stop trying," when she was desperately in love with that boy and not sure how to pursue the love. hope you figure things out soon. mr. nice or not, it's your own choice. but all your true friends know that you are a great person at heart, and that will be the fuel to your lasting friendships. I'm afraid too about losing friends after they graduate this year, but since I went through that last year during my graduation, I guess the anxiety isn't as strong this time around. best of luck buddy!

i think i've pretty much come to the conclusion that all i really need to do is accept the fact that i'll be struggling alone or with friends who aren't my age as opposed to struggling with friends my age, but i'm gradually getting used to that idea. i am glad to have my true friends to talk to when i feel lonely though :)
