Well, I'm almost done. Almost done living with Henry, that is. For those of you who know who I'm talking about, you know there's a new story every day about something he did to piss me and everyone else around him off. For those who don't, I won't get started. This idiot makes Ruby's life-challenged apartmentmate look like Martha fucking Stewart (

take pictures. pictures pictures pictures. start logging the exact days you gave verbal warning and what you talked to him about. if he doesn't pay for the damages, I also agree that you should take it to court.
GROSS!!!! :( I'm sorry you've had such bad luck with roommates...

I'm sick of people being sorry that I have bad luck with roommates. I also seem to have bad luck in a whole LOT of other areas in my life, but that's another story. I put my foot down in an email I sent the apartmentmates and Henry just a few hours ago. We'll see how this goes, and I've got the upper hand this time.
This one is NOT getting away!

you should definitely say your utensils in the kitchen are off limits from now on, tell him to get his own and make a mess with those

Anyway, we HAVE told him, on numerous occasions, not to touch our stuff, and ESPECIALLY not to use our utensils, but he never listens. Last week, I caught him red-handed going through my food and spices in the cabinet (clearly marked with my name on the shelves and on my stuff), saying "Oh I thought this was mine" when I asked why he was going through my shelves. My apartmentmates have caught him doing the same, and this was AFTER we all started naming our own shelves.
The annoying thing is, he DOES have his own utensils and dishes, but he keeps using ours anyway just because... I have no idea. I've seen him physically cringe and back away when I held up a sponge fresh from the package, and he told me he hates sponges. I don't know what that means, but it shows. His idea of "cleaning" his stuff? Wiping it down with his hands and putting it back on the shelf, food bits and all. We've all gotten sick throughout the year as a direct result of using something he used on his own food--and I never get sick.
