Summer jobs and ethics

After looking at all the places I've applied for work so far (tutoring centers, insurance companies, Starbucks, In N Out, front desks of businesses, etc), it seems like everyone's already done hiring for the summer. Okay first of all you are obviously going to "get caught" since your leaving even though you said you wouldnt. It isnt as serious as you make it sound though. Obviously it wouldnt be a terribly good idea to make this employer a reference and you probably wont be able to work for them again. But the main point should be that you are wasting other peoples resources and time training you for a job that you dont intend to stay for. If you take on a job, do it well and do it right with everything you've got. If you dont then make use of the free time you've got to do other things like learn something new or pursue an interest.
