The 2006 city budget includes feasibility studies for converting existing bus routes into street car lines along busy commercial streets to reduce congestion. That brings the total count of rail feasibility studies to 3 + one rail project that is currently in route planning (the step after a feasibility study).

very insightful. I'll have my assistant draft a memo on this so that we can get the Transportation Committee working on a study that will show us the value in developing quarterly progress reports. I sincerely believe that this will assist in our efforts at increasing transparency and public outreach.

You'll do no such thing without proper monitoring, mister! We'll have to submit a proposal for an oversight committee.

Before forming an oversight committee, you must conform to section 2 of article 9 of the diversity clause for the composition of oversight committees, as articulated within the City Charter, adopted 1872, as amended. You must first ensure that 55% of the body is minority and 25% low-income. Of that 55% of the body, you must meet or exceed 35% African American, 22% Hispanic, 19% Asian, 1.2% Pacific Islander, and 0.0001% Native American (the presence of a Treaty signed prior to 1868 will suffice for the latter, as a full demonstration of understanding and intent by their Ancestors). 47% must be women.
