Why does fate dislike me?

My grandfather died 2 weeks ago, and today in my film class we had to watch a film, where the main character is a Widow.

A Widow who bears an uncanny resemblance to my grandmother when she was in her 40s...

Hey. I'm really sorry about your grandfather. I lost mine recently too.

Fate hated me as well. He had dementia. When I got home, my first EMS shift, my first patient was an elderly woman with dementia who was gravely ill. I wanted to start crying all over again.

I'm sorry to hear that fate has chosen to pick on more than just me, I would rather carry the burden myself.

It sucks, but I called my mom about it afterwards and we talked about it and had a laugh or two, she's good for that.
