The link goes to a story about a Chinese couple who were told that they were putting their child into temporary foster care, and who had their parental rights illegally terminated by a racist judge who ruled that it must be better to raise a child in Memphis, USA, than among them heathen Chinese.
The child was barely one year old when the parents filed to regain their child--she is eight NOW because the $%&*#ing judicial system tied it up in the courts for that long!
I may try that tactic in court some day, though. "Your honor, we admit that the other parent is right and will probably win eventually. But we have the child now, and intend to tie this up in the courts for the next eight years, by which time the child will have developed roots with my client. You must consider the interests of the child!" On second thought, maybe I won't.
