Hello, you. I feel somewhat unworthy to take your compliments, but would never dream of insulting you by failing to accept them with grace. Thank you for touching me and for missing me. It's been a really hard time here; I got treated like I was invisible so often that I became invisible. No more. I'm reclaiming myself--slowly and deliberately.

This is a man's world; the only place I consider truly egalitarian is Scandinavia. Their legislatures must be half-female by law and they have the highest per capita income in the world, as well as a low rate of corruption, pollution, and many other things I consider societal ills. People are moving towards it, however, for every Sojourner Truth, there's twenty Paris Hiltons to muck matters up. There are times I've been a rotten girl and times I've been a noble one. Now, I just want to be. I'm weary of all the labels and arguments.
