Sitting in a writing lab with various members of EWU's football team. It's pretty quiet so far, which means they're either working on papers and such or fiddling around online - something they're technically not supposed to do, but I really don't get too worked up about it

Oh, golly, I miss you tons. What's the good in being "back in school" when your bestest buddies are scattered to the four winds and I can't see them even on a simple stroll across campus?? Much less spend nights frolicking about town and blowing off homework. I mean, half the fun in blowing off homework is the solidarity of doing in with others in the same boat! WHEN ARE YOU COMING TO SPOKANE?????

I totally understand what you are saying!!!! I've been thinking a lot about that lately. Not being able to be with the people I love and miss is one of the hardest things ever. I've met cool people out here, but it just isn't the same. And now I feel like I have to be a responsible grad student so I'm trying to be good - blah! Plus, as you said, it just isn't the same being a boozy slacker when you don't have fabulous people to enjoy it with you. OH my CHILD - did we have some AMAZING times or what?!?!?! Remember the mystery horn-honkers outside the music building?? I would LOVE to come to Spokane to visit everyone, but alas I am a poor, poor, poor student. But, maybe I can work something out - maybe. We MUST talk soon. We should schedule a phone date!

Man, just reading that and remembering those confused cellists trying to figure out what on earth was going on makes me laugh still. Or how about the Satellite runs? Yeah, I'm also trying to be disciplined, blah, blah, blah, what with supposedly being a teacher before too long, and in some ways it's easier since I don't have my alluring booze-hounds surrounding me, but something's missing.

I hear you on the impoverished front. I could just use a Torie Weekend. I love you dearly, and cannot at all wait to see those sparkling eyes once more!!!!
