'Always' Fan Novel Cover

It's been a while since I've been involved in the online fan world due to RL seriously kicking my butt.  However, it's time to come back... ah, how I've missed it.  My first fannish endeavour of my return is a cover for the truly amazing Casy Dee's story Always.  This novel length fanfiction for the Syfy miniseries Alice is... Oh, beautiful job! I've thought about converting this to e-book format. This would make a great cover. :) I love it!

I'm so glad you like it.

The funny thing is that I've been considering the same thing, which is why I started thinking about cover art in the first place. I've done a lot of e-books for various favourite stories for my own personal use on my Nook. After I heard from you regarding the cover art I had been seriously considering about next approaching you on the subject of whether you would mind my making ebooks of these stories.

Of course, if you'd rather do it that's no problem. But I have some experience making e-books (at least in epub format, I'm still working on getting mobi files to work properly) so I though I'd offer my time.

Also, I had actually made two potential covers based on the same general concept. I originally decided that I liked the one I originally posted best and so only posted that one. Today though I decided to add the other one to the post and leave it to you to decide which one you like better.

I like the first one. I think I'd like to integrate all the missing reels into the story line for an e-book, so that would take some work. I'm recovering from double jaw surgery right now, so anything more than five minutes and I'm wiped.

Ouch, that just sounds bad. I hope you'll be feeling better soon.

Okay, this is just funny as we've both clearly been contemplating similar things. One of the things I'd been thinking about was the creation of two e-books for each story. The general audiences one and the grown up version with the missing reels in place. That way everything is spiffy for everyone.

It would take some work, but not that much. In fact, some of it is already done. For years now I've taken many of my favourite stories saved them onto my computer for rereading at my leisure. With larger multi-chapter stories I always put them into Wordperfect so that all the chapters were together. With 'Always' and 'Forever' I also took the time to put many of the missing reels in place because I loved them so much.

Yes, I really do do this kind of thing for fun. :-)
