Yes We Carve!

So I attended a "Yes We Carve!" party last night to carve a pumpkin to show my support for Obama. I was afraid it was a disaster when I looked at my work in daylight, but when I popped a candle in it and took it to a dark room, I have to admit I'm quite pleased

Very articulate- and WOW your pumpkin is pretty amazing! My friend carved a Palin one that was very funny. He put it on his facebook page- let me know if you want to see it!

Thanks! I'm glad I'm not alone in my reasons. Although, I'm still stunned on a daily basis by how many otherwise intelligent people are supporting McCain-Palin... none of them can really tell me why they're ok with what these two have done or failed to do, but they aren't really interested in exploring *why* they support them. I just don't get the unexamined but rigid stance these people seem to take. It helps me to write it all out for myself now and again instead of just rooting for one side or the other as if they were some sports team that's supported out of habit.
