Abortion - your views?

What do you view on Abortion? Do you follow a religion that causes you to believe what you do?

For myself, I wouldn't expect any woman to be forced to keep a child from a rape. Of course, the child didn't ask to be born, but the woman didn't asked to be raped either, so she has the right to do what she wants without having a guilty feeling inside ( Read more... )

It's all about choice, and I think that in the end of the story, it comes down to the person making it. Sadly- this isn't the child, but it isn't the eternal 'they' either. It's the woman, who has to ask herself is she can handle this, the pregnancy, the birth, and the fact that even if she gives the child up, gives it to the best people in the world- there will be that part of her out there...

In the end, it's that woman in the clinic... or in the bathroom with the pregnancy test, and it's her choice.

Regardless of whether or not it's pathetic, it's her choice.
...did that even make any sense?

That made perfect sense. And also in my opinion, I think it's unfair for guys to have a say too. A cousin of mine got pregnant due to a broken condom or so she says, and her boyfriend didn't like her choice to abort. He was awfully rude about it and yeah just because it would have been his kid too, doesn't mean he should act like he has half or more than half of the say.

That's why some women I know have just not told them.
It's easier... even if it's lying.

When people talk about abortion the conversation always turns to choice. I have the right to choose. No, people don't have the right to choice. They have the right, the necessity to be responsible for their actions and choices. If you are responsible for your own actions there wouldn't be a need for abortion beyond the extreme cases of a criminal action.

There's not enough responsibility for choices as far as most people are concerned. There is this attitude of "If I make a mistake I'll just do something drastic to fix it." There's no thought about correcting the behavior or taking action to not make the mistake a second time.
