[Aftermath of this]

Blaine beelined right up the hall of the Hummel-Hudson home when Carole let him in, and veered into the kitchen where she had directed him to his sweetheart. He baulked for a moment when he was met with the site of a very ruffled Kurt in Blaine's Tickle for Love Elmo pyjamas with purple sequinned Ugg Boots and looking like death warmed over as he waited for the kettle to boil. He hurried over and wrapped his arms around Kurt's waist, hugging him from behind. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry I gave you my flu! I got here as soon as I could. Do you need anything? Tea! I can make the tea!"

Kurt had spent the good part of four days nursing Blaine through his rabid germy flu and at the time, he hadn't thought much of it. He had maybe gone a little overboard on the antiseptic sprays and sanitizers, but now they had horrifically betrayed him, clearly he was hating on the world at large and wishing his had would stop feeling like his brain was about to drip out of his nose at any minute. The response Blaine got was something along the lines of a pained, "Hn," but he did sink back into the embrace and turn his feverish head to rest it against Blaine's.

"You're lucky I love you so much," he added wearily with a sniffle followed by wiping his nose on a pathetic looking wrinkly Kleenex wad he pulled from the pocket of the pyjama pants. His voice was hoarse and scratchy with borderline laryngitis and he thought his luck really had to be against him getting sick right at the start of summer. He handed Blaine his gay pride mug. "Honey and lemon, please."

"Aw, poor baby," Blaine murmured sympathetically when he heard Kurt's voice and watched him wiped his nose on the limp and crumpled tissues. He carefully plucked them from Kurt's fingers and held them gingerly between his own so he could discard them in the trash. He ducked into the living room to collect the box of Kleenex from in there and brought them back so he could set about making Kurt's tea as requested.

He rose up on his tiptoes to grab the jar of honey from the overheard cupboard. "You should be wrapped up in bed, and I'm going to make sure you are right after finish here. You know, I have never actually seen you sick like this before. You in my pyjamas? Would be totally hot if you weren't snotty and feverish," he joked and leaned over to kiss Kurt on his warm forehead. "Do I get to rub Vick's on you too?" he asked with a smirk.

I'd offer, but I think I'm the last dude your other half would appreciate you receiving a hug from.

Blaine's not so much a fan of any dudes hugging me, so I wouldn't take it personally. It's the thought that counts. I'm sure you give nice hugs.

I can't say I blame him on that front. And that's something I'm hoping I can find out one day. But what's go you so down, Kurt? Everything okay?

You will. Hell, I never thought I would, and then he was right there when I least expected it. The whole not getting into NYADA thing, and the fact I think I still need to go to New York regardless. It's getting closer and I'm starting to feel a little nauseated at the thought leaving Blaine. I thought I had it all together, but lately not so much.

Mike was listening to his iPod while he waited in line at the Lima Bean. He was dancing on the spot to some Black Eyed Peas when he spotted Kurt entering the coffee shop alone to join the back of the line looking, well, sort of down in the dumps. For a moment, Mike continued to bop his head to the music until he made an executive decision, spun on the spot and bounced over to Kurt to grab him in a smooshing hug. "You just looked like you needed that, dude," he stated with a friendly pat to Kurt's back.

Kurt nearly peed himself in fright to find himself suddenly in a crushing hug by the ninja dancer that almost knocked the wind out of him from the force. He had learnt over the recent years that Mike Chang had a huge heart and even in striking up a pretty close friendship with Blaine since Blaine transferred, Kurt had gotten closer to him too. He and Mike, along with Blaine and Tina, often went on double-dates together when time permitted. "Mike!" he said through a gasp and his hand came up to reciprocate the pat on the back. "Crap, am I that obvious?"

"Pretty much," Mike confirmed with a nod when he plucked the iPod ear buds from his ears and shoved the device into the pocket of his hoodie. "Are you still bummed about NYADA, or are you worried about leaving Blaine after the summer? Or maybe a Box Number Three, and you got outbid on another McQueen coat on eBay? Here, dude, let me shout for coffee. Soon enough, we won't get the chance to hang anymore. I'm going to miss you and your ability to sense the fact my tank top clashes with my skinny jeans from, like, three floors away."

Kurt was going to protest Mike paying for the coffee, but instead he just gave his friend a thankful smile when he realised Mike was indicating they would have a coffee and chat together. That's exactly what he needed right then, he couldn't deny it. "I'm going to miss you too, Mike. All of you. It's surreal after all the anticipation, the end has finally come. And door number two. If it was three, I would be looking to draw blood right now, not standing in line at the Lima Bean ready to order an extra large hot chocolate with added whipped cream. Are you getting nervous about Joffey?"
