Kitty looking for a home

A bit under a year ago, some of Sas' neighbors moved out. They dumped their extremely friendly, darling cat in the neighborhood. Sas and I have kept an eye on him, given him pettin's on occasion and generally noticed that he's not gone feral, he's stayed a sweetie. He's an attention whore and loves on people ( Read more... )

I don't know where you are in the DC area but I have friends who also live near there who have adopted from Rude Ranch, a no-kill rescue.

Perhaps you can contact them and together you guys could get him someplace safe if you cannot find anyone to take him directly.

You can build a nice cheap one from a trash can, they normally don't recommend blankets but straw. If I still have the one I built, (trashcan, lid taped on, lining of insulation) it is yours if you want it.

If you take the cat to a vet as a feral they will normally give you a good deal on the checkup though they will want to tip the ear to show that cat has been spade/neutered and is part of managed feral community.

When I get home and am not on dialup I can look up the info I have.
