...wait, it's January again? When did that happen? @_@ In something resembling seriousness, though, I'm glad for the new year, as always. 2012 wasn't a bad year, all things considered, it was just more difficult than I expected it to be. I know, right? ^_^ Been wanting to start this for a while, I think it's gelled in my head enough. And I love this shirt, it makes everything better.

I was thinking that since neither of us has an agent, and it's not really possible for us to have less than zero agents, that can only get better - either we'll stay the same or we'll find representation. When I said it could only get better, I meant that the odds are good we won't get personal rejection letters that say things like "Not only am I rejecting you, I'm CCing your query to every agent I know to ensure they reject you too." ^_^ As for my full request, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but as I said, I never actually had a chance because my book's not romance-focused. *shrug*

And I agree with you completely about the query process taking longer and longer. I queried a few in November and a bunch in December, haven't heard back from any of them.
