The nations are in conflict again, if not quite up to outright war yet. I had plans in place to prevent that from happening, to turn the Renegades into a minor world power that could mediate between the nations and prevent the war from restarting. To all appearances, they've been disbanded entirely in the new game, in part because I need to be the guardian of the Tree. As if I couldn't do both. [Yes, he's ranting a bit. This is upsetting news.]
