Something that came into my head this morning
Steven Ales thanked his lucky stars, as he turned his car off, fumbling with the corsage case in his hand. She'd said Red right? He hoped to God it was red.
He moved up the stairs, fixing his pocket lapel and waiting for someone to open the door.
It open, and he was eye to eye with a very annoyed looking redhead, with his burning pale brown eyes focused directly on him. Currently topless, and holding a black tie in his hand, his other hand was held up to his ear, and he could hear someone talking over the phone.
Caleb only sighed. "What do you mean you changed from a red dress to a green one...d..alright, hold on."
He gave another glare in Steven's direction. "Don't do anything stupid. If she comes home and she's not ridiculously happy then I WILL kill you, understand?" He muttered, and before Steven could respond he started walking away. "Shy! your date is nervous and confused, and also here!"
Steven frowned he was not confused...at least...he didn't think he was.
Shyama came out, her eyes nervously looking up. It'd been the first dance she'd been to without Seth..and...frankly, she was a little nervous. She was so used to Seth...what would this be like?
Steven's jaw dropped when he looked her up and down. Wearing a tasteful scarlet red dress that complimented her dark red hair and creamy pale skin, her arms were left bare, and it conformed to her torso, before flowing out in a full skirt, dotted in small red jewels, (courtesy of Puck and a few jokes from Chris that made her laugh so hard she'd cried.)
"Shy...you look...so beautiful." He murmured softly, setting a small kiss on her cheeks and presenting her with the corsage. She smiled, her face lighting up. "Oh, Steven, it's perfect." She said, opening it and slowly slipping it on.
Steven only gave a grin. "Only to match you, Shy..."
She smiled brightly, giving him a hug. "You're so sweet."
Steven only laughed. "Don't mention it...come on...let's go get a bite to eat before we make everyone else in the hall jealous." He smiled. Shyama giggled, nodding and following him wherever he led her.
