The Gingerbread House Project was an attempt to turn young children into super-soldiers using the medium of fairy tales. Essentially what happened was, using a sophisticated hologram projector, the kids were sent through these fairy tales over and over until finally they adopted the belief that they were the people in the fairy tales. And people in fairy tales live happily ever after; that is, they don’t die. Except the bad guys, and the bad guys were programmed into the holograms.
The project was shut down ten years ago when a child died in it, but recently someone unearthed it and has decided to revive it. The children are being brought back together for missions. I really don’t care if they’re still soldiers, or CIA assets, or even if the person who unearthed it is a private millionaire who wants to exploit the government’s biggest, most rotten skeleton.
Powers-wise, everyone who went through the GHP is immortal unless they stop believing they’re the fairy tales. A couple of them were dragged off to therapy, which occasionally even succeeded, so they don’t believe it or have their powers anymore. Those who do believe also have whatever powers might be suggested by their fairy tales; for example, Gretel is pyrokinetic.
I’ll gladly help with PB, username, personality, backstory-anything you need help with-but I have no ideas at the moment, so you have free reign.
