Batman - Embrace the Fear

Aug 19, 2005 09:31

Who: Jonathan Crane - "Batman"
What: A 1st person roleplay sample.

Its quite fascinating watching the reactions of those under the influence of my Fear Toxin. A simple amount of the chemical, despite how much has been inhaled, will bring out a person's fears and make their brain actually believe that whatever phobia they have is there in flesh and blood making their current state of living a nightmare. Of course each person reacts differently on a mental and physical state of being; the same applies to how much of the compound has been absorbed into the senses, and so by taking note and watching, I can whiteness to my own amusement how it began to drive a person insane.

Never having been effected by the hallucinogen in the past myself, I can't apprehend how it had effected the brain on a personal level. Having created my mask, I was able to withstand the effects of the drug while I could easily go about unaffected as the others around began experiencing high amounts of fear. Easily, I could've just obtained a simple gas mask, but when a mind under the influence of a highly consequential drug begin to see things, its more enthralling on the other end to see the fear on their face when an actual physical being can attack.

The insane are frightened by this mask because of what it symbolizes in their mind. It brings out their fears and delusions. Without the imagery created on my mask, I'd never get the satisfaction of leaving my mark indented inside their head. They'd never be afraid of a doctor Jonathan Crane now, but perhaps a more sinister looking character by the name of Scarecrow.
