I broke my leg a couple weeks ago, and I have been driving myself up a wall looking for something to do. Today, the stewpot occurred to me as something I said I would do when I had free time, so here I am. Now let's see if I can remember the format.

First off, I am not at all religious, but I do know enough to recognize the basic elements. If there is much deeper meaning I wouldn't catch any of it, but even without it the story worked for me.
My only real criticism is that I couldn't get a good feel for the narrator. His tone seemed to vary in the story. Sometimes he was very clinical and detached, but a few times he seemed a bit more animated. And other times he did seem a little jumbled, maybe a smidgen confused. I think I like the more matter-of-fact detached style, to be honest.
It was a very intriguing story. You kept my interest, even though the topic (religion) interests me very little, so bravo!
And sorry about the leg. That sucks. Nice to see you back again!

What could I do to fix this? This is a problem I've had before, and I don't know what to do to make it better.
And it is good to be writing again... even if I would prefer to be earning money again, to be honest.

A question for you that perhaps another version could answer - Why didn't God make more Angels to do his work?
I liked the introduction to the nephilim and hearing "the rest of the story" about how Satan came to exist.
