Abilities:
Secret Spells and Skills wielded by those within Crow. Can memorize what he's read perfectly even if having seen it for a few moments. A multitude of languages (several dead), medicinal skills, and several forms of martial arts. Also has Ōzuchi Kozuchi, a hammer which he rarely uses but has nature-seals. As of last canon update in 2010, the Innocence Hammer is no longer in Lavi's possession.• Kureha Nenki (黒羽焔气, lit. "Black Wing Blazing Spirit"): By clutching an explosive talisman in their fist, and swiftly placing additional talismans on their targets, they can fill their hand with a sudden surge of energy and deliver a powerful explosive punch.
• Shibari Bane (縛羽, lit. "Binding Wing"): Uses an array of binding talismans to create a circular barrier that slows the movement of any within it. The binding talismans can also be placed directly on an individual as a form of restraints.
• Mamori Bane (衛羽, lit. "Guardian Wing"): Uses an array of talismans to create a circular barrier that surrounds the user and others for protection.
• Kinji Bane (禁羽, lit. "Forbidden Wing"): Uses two parallel arrays of forbidden talismans to create a barrier that surrounds and traps the targets within it.
• En Ba (炎羽, lit. "Flame Wing"): Covers the target with numerous flame talismans, which are then detonated to engulf the target in a fiery explosion.
The following are self-invented talismans due to the creative mind of a Bookman.• Healed Wing: Uses one talisman placed upon the injured's body and heals whatever injuries it can, this is based on the energy levels of the user. Unfortunately when this talisman is used, the pain of the speeded healing process is shared between the injured and the healer. Lavi has altered this talisman into two other versions: one has the healer taking all the pain so that the injured feels nothing at all, the second is a version that will allow Lavi to heal himself.
• Hunting Wing: Uses one talisman that looks similar to this to hunt down and find a specific person. There is very little chance of tricking this talisman. An alteration of this talisman provides a map to the specific thing.
• Silenced Wing: Uses one to an array of talismans to silence a certain area and cancels all sound from the outside or inside, depending on which direction the inked paper is facing.
• Weighted Wing: Uses one to an array of talismans in order to suddenly weigh whatever body part/object the talisman is attached to down to a very heavy weight, often bringing it to the floor. Alternatively, a slight alteration can make the body part/object near weightless for easy manipulation.
Appearance:
Wears the third form of Exorcist uniform, his headband black in color with what looks like a butterfly design on it similar to the Tease's shape. He does not, however, wear the headband very often. His hair is pulled back into a ponytail instead or left down.
When not wearing his jacket Lavi has on a black three-quarter sleeve-length shirt. Scarf not included in this form.
Does have and sometimes wear his Crow outfit: a long, black robe outfit that has a hood and a white and yellow diamond mask made of a hardened-sheer material. Only wears this when acting within the Crow bidding, which is rarely, or when is using his Crow abilities.
Personality:
Having a horrible tumble with The Fourteenth and losing his eye Lavi is suspicious of everyone he meets, even those he considers a friend. Still he keeps much of this under his vest, preferring instead to show the world the normal happy-go-lucky face normally seen on Lavi.
Let him run into a Noah and it's forever a different story. Lavi charges in rather recklessly in attempt to exact some kind of revenge for all of them in his mind are The Fourteenth. However if it's a Noah he doesn't know then caution first and foremost until he knows it's powers.
Distract and/or restrain him from at least trying this feat of revenge will result in the redhead snapping at everyone. He will then go off to be alone for a rather long time. [Old]
Quieter and more serious than he normally would be Lavi has resigned himself to being the Fourteenth's watcher, effectively taking Link's place. He is naturally more suspicious of everyone he meets, keeping the world at a distance. Very protective of his personal space Lavi doesn't take kindly to anyone getting up in it, especially Fourteenth.
Noahs he is rather peculiar about, being around the Order's Noah has made the Bookman in training curious and he wants to observe them more than attack them. Still most make him very cautious as his mind links them to the same 'pretty' stealing as the Fourteenth, whom he still has a grudge against.

1882 - Chase was born into a big family, the last of thirteen children.
1883 - Not long after, Mana (29) and Fourteenth (17) encounter a Bookman (49) in Russia and travel with him for a few months. Bookman leaves for his Bookmanly duties.
1886 - During a riot in Chase's (5) town his family is either killed by rioters or fire itself. Chase is the only survivor and is left to fend for himself.
† Chase is picked up by Bookman (52) and is adopted into the Bookman Clan, training under his savior. He casts away the name Chase and takes on his first alias Ian.
1887 - Through his connections with Central Bookman sends newly christened Ian to their Crow division. One of his spar-mates there is none other than Link.
1892 - Ian (10) rejoins Bookman at the historian's insistence.
1888→1892 - Because of his abilities to recall anything he reads and his absolute dedication to learning new knowledge Ian quickly rose through the ranks in training. Upon leaving the Central building Ian was gifted with the Crow uniform and complete certification.
1893→1897 - Begins touring Europe with Bookman, learning his duties and the rest of his training. (ie. Languages, medicinal skills, martial arts) During this time "Ian" is cast aside and the Bookman-in-training receives 46 other aliases, the 47th being Michael (15).
† Cross (39) arranges a meeting with Bookman (62), alone, to discuss Fourteenth's (12) position. The meeting occurs in a hut in Ireland, deep in the wilderness with Michael standing guard in his Crow uniform. With a Crow barrier in place he did not expect to see a boy younger than himself waltz through the boundary in Noah form. Knowing not what he was other than an intruder a brief tussle ensued, with Michael losing an eye which "Allen" kept, until the 'adults' came out and restrained their charges. Thus was The Fourteenth and Bookman Jr's first meeting.
† Shortly after this incident, Michael injured his left eye by accident. During this time period he learned how to read and write Braille as well as learn to rely on his other senses.
1898 - One more short job, where "Deak" becomes his name for two months.
† Casting aside "Deak" he becomes Lavi, his 49th alias, when the two join the Black Order. Lavi becomes aligned with Innocence in the form of Tettsui, an iron hammer he refers to as Ōzuchi Kozuchi. Becomes acquainted with and attached to Kanda and Lenalee as well as many others in the Order.
1895→1899 - Kanda (17) and Lavi (17) are sent on missions, Akuma exterminations, and the such.
1899 - D.Gray-canon begins; Lavi (17) and the others fight Akuma as normal.
1900 - D.Gray-crew, minus Allen, head to China to find Cross (43). Tyki (26/27) manipulates Suman Dark into betraying his Innocence, resulting in the latter Falling. Before he can retrieve the Innocence, however, he is thwarted. Suman is not saved and is killed by his Innocence. Linali (17) and Lavi (18) retrieve the Innocence before Tyki Mikk can get to it.
† After Kanda (19), Marie, and Daisya meet up with General Tiedoll (52), they hop a vessel to Japan to meet up with Lavi, Linali, and Co. (minus Allen).
† On the way to Japan, Linali fights Level 3, Chomesuke pushes ship to Japan, blah blah blah. The Fourteenth (15) joins the fray in a mini-epic battle against the Earl.
† Rhode's door to the Plant Egg is torn down. The Egg itself has been transferred to The Black Order upon Leverrier's request through Cross. The Earl, furious, must begin work on a new Egg.
† At the end of the fiasco, Lavi is told that his new long-standing mission is to "protect" The Fourteenth for an indefinite period of time, until the Earl has been killed.
1901 - Central HQ + Leverrier decide that it's best if a second guard is appointed. Thus, Kanda (20) joins Lavi (19) in being pestered by The Fourteenth.
1900→1902 - Lavi (18-20) spends most of his time around Fourteenth (15-17), to his great displeasure. He is allowed breaks only to complete duties as a member of the Clan of Bookman, leaving Kanda (19-21) to watch over The Fourteenth on his own.
† With The Fourteenth on the Order's side, the Ark has become open for use, cutting travel time significantly. More Exorcists have been found in the last 2-3 years than in the past decade alone-- and just as many have been lost in return.
1903 - Lavi (21) found himself the owner of his right eye once more courtesy of a deal between Fourteenth and Tyki.
† During a huge fight in the Ark, Lavi and all the others aside from the Earl and Fourteenth were shoved out. Fourteenth destroyed the Ark with both of them inside, the Noah and the Exorcists separated.
† Lavi is no more, having seen Fourteenth off after he died in the redhead's arms, destroying both Tettsui and his arm before passing. "Ehan" now teaches the children of nobility during a time of unrest.
