December Thirty

It's almost the end of the year. Thank goodness! 2005 has not been the best year for me. In fact, overall it's been rather dreadful. I've had wonderful moments that I've shared with some truly special people, but those moments too often have seemed to be eclipsed by sad and horrible events. I think you are about due for a Really Good Year. In fact, I will now start referring to the upcoming year as 2006 RGY(A). At least, I'll do so in your journal. :)

Thank you! And yeah, I already have higher hopes for it. While it's true enough that I can't control all events in my life (sometimes people just go and very inconsiderately die and stuff), the elements that I can control I feel pretty good about.

And yet, December began with me at my lowest...

I think the real cause is all those conferences taking you away from your friends. The solution is vigilance (and using YM at work!).

Ah, but the conferencing is only just begun! Later this month I will be gone and February I will be gone. I don't think I'll go to the conference in May, but I will be going to conferences in both September and October. What can I say, I'm a jet-setter! ;)
