Pommy's heard of a couple of ways to have wishes granted, but Pommy doesn't know if any of them actually work back home. You can wish on shooting stars, or you can flip a coin into a fountain! And also, if it's your birthday, you can make a wish, but you can't tell anyone what it is or else it won't come true.

[Peach can't help but smile a little bit wider when she hears Pommy's voice.]

I guess it doesn't matter how you wish for things, as long as you have faith in it. [At least, that's how it worked with the Star Spirits.]

Do you really think so?

Of course I do! The Star Spirits told me and my friends that the base of their power is fate, so believing in things can do wonders!

People wish on stars or throw coins in fountains, but they're more... fun little things without any power behind them.

Ah, yes. I've heard of those from my friends from Earth.

But it's not like the Star Spirits will grant anyone's wish, without any discretion. Heh... can you imagine the mess?

Very true, but that's a job I'd never want. How do you even begin to decide which wishes to grant?

Sure is a big burden. I mean, I have lots of obligations back home, but I can't even imagine how hard it is to decide something like that.

At least all this responsibility isn't over just one being's shoulder.

...Power of stars?

[He has the Star Punch, but it was given that name by Doc for the reason that, if it connects, it has his opponents seeing stars, so to speak.]

So glad you answered <3 mush_monarch October 10 2011, 03:15:33 UTC
Ah, yes.

The Star Spirits live up in the sky and, if people wish for things upon the stars, they might grant it.

They don't grant everyone's wishes just because though. The person needs to deserve it.

This is true. The Star Spirits not only rely on people's fate on them, but they also need the person to be pure at heart and they need to show they are working to achieve what they want, then they help by making things 'easier', somewhow. [Even though Peach witnessed the Star Spirits working with her very own eyes, their powers are still pretty mysterious.]

And, well, as long as nobody steals the Star Rod [Again...], everything will be just fine.

[As much as Kazooie is pretending not to have missed Peach on her excursions and such, she isn't doing the best job at hiding it.]

You'd better be sorry! You coulda gotten hurt being all over the place like that, Peachy.

And I can't be a hero for ya if I don't know where you are!

[OMG, I missed you!]

Oh Kazooie, I'm so sorry I worried you! I didn't mean to stay so quiet for so long, but I guess I got too distracted by this new place.

I hope you've been doing fine though.

[Likewise. So much likewise.]

I'm always fine! [What a bald-faced lie.] I... I was just wondering about you. You could get hurt and stuff. I haven't trained you how to kick butt yet!

... Plus if you were gonna go on an adventure I shoulda come with you anyway. [And here she sounds... some mixture of almost-hurt and... lonely. Though hell if she'd admit either.]

Ah, don't worry Kazooie. I wouldn't do anything too much 'fun' without inviting you to tag along! Besides, nothing I didn't go anywhere dangerous so no problem if you still didn't teach me how to fight.

Speaking of which, we should work on that. What do you think? [She wants to make up for leaving you, OK? She wants to spend some quality time with you =3]

Some people believe in wishing on shooting stars. Or falling stars depending how you look at it.

Ah, I guess you could say our way of wishing is kind of based on that, but there are no shooting stars in the sky. But there are plenty of them of them over Shooting Star Summit!

Where do you usually find your stars then?

Shooting Star Summit?

The stars are on the sky like everywhere else, they just don't really 'fall' anywhere.

Oh, that's, hm, a somewhat tall mountain where the Star Spirits gather, when they need to talk to people. Stars are always falling there and it's always night too. It's by the side of my castle, so I go there a lot whenever I want to stay all by myself for a while.
