Xenoblade!

Jul 01, 2010 23:43

I promised myself I'd write an actual blog entry once I got to around 100 hours in Xenoblade (note that I promised myself this yesterday, as when I started playing it I didn't expect to be playing this game for over 100 hours.) Sadly the game counter stops at 99:59 hours... for some reason. With a game that has this much content, that's absurd. ( Read more... )

I have to cringe whenever I see it. It's only a step up of the idiocy of your characters not being able to surmount a five inch high rock.

XDDD I remember these from Assassin's Creed. The assassins can scale gigantic buildings with the sketchiest of footholds, yet they are foiled by... TINY ROCKS! Srsly, they can't walk over tiny little rocky embankments. My brothers and I call 'Improbable Cliffs' and other dodgy 'barrier' type devices 'tiny rocks' because of this XD

I've been meaning to try AC out, is it any good? Aside from the rocks that is.

I ran into another 'barrier' while playing Xenoblade: and oil spill surrounding the island. If you try to go through it you get poisoned to death! Well that's one way to prevent you from going further out to sea...

I love it. It reminds me of the Da Vinci Code, in the 'twisting real world things into proof of a secret history' sense at least. And the climbing and running in the game is so fluid, it's very fun. The first game's plot was a bit weak (the plot in the past/animus, I mean, the plot thread in the present/real world was very interesting) and the missions were repetitive when I thought about it, but honestly, I didn't notice cause at the time the gameplay was very new and fun. The second game is much better, I thought, in that regard.

Well! At least it's more creative than the giant fish/monster that rises up and eats you if you go too far XD

Are Wii games region-restricted, or compatible on all Wii consoles? D:

Sadly, they're all region restricted. Of course you could mod your console to play all region, and I know a lot of people who do that. Since I don't have any US Wii games I want to play anyway (ARE there any? I swear...) it doesn't matter much to me... plus my parents have a Wii anyway if I really need to... >>
