he played the song really well but all the dance moves, its like watching white people dance to mc hammer. I've never done it because at a young age I saw people do it and thought to myself "what the holy hell is going on"

You know, it's a bit like Victor Plusheko's "Sex Bomb" performance. If he were any less than 100% committed, he'd just be a doofus, but if someone goes out entirely devoted to the idea of entertaining people no matter what, they become magic. Not even the white socks could bring me down, because when he started up my head was stunned into grinning. You can't help but be happy when people like that win. :D
