[FANFIC] Heart's Memory - Eight (Part 2)

Jan 29, 2013 21:20

He let out a sigh as the twin metal doors of the elevator of their building closed in front of him. This is the first time he’s going to sleep at their shared dorm room with Yunho and the others after what happened to Jaejoong. He can’t take his eyes off the pale boy worrying that something might happen again.

YooChun ran his hand through his hair, carding his fingers and slowly massaging his head in the process, hoping it could relieve its throbbing feeling. Events that happened last week slowly sinking into him as he suddenly felt fatigue. He slowly exited the elevator when it reaches their designated floor, walking lazily towards their room; he fumbled inside his pants’ front right pocket for his set of keys and almost drops them when their room’s door suddenly opened revealing a girl he knew at the university.

He blinked, once, twice as he watched the pretty brunette fix her clothes on the hallway, breathing deeply, not even bothering to fixed her long dishevelled hair. “T-Tiffany”. He called, in an almost whispering manner and thankfully, the owner of name heard him as she instantly looked his way.

She just shrugged her shoulders before walking pass him, leaving the long haired man standing alone on the hallway, wondering why she went there in the first place, though he had an idea why and he didn’t like it. Not at all.

He entered their second home and disappointment welcomed him. Yes, the place was clean, organized but the warmth feeling was not there and he didn’t dare to question himself why he chose to stay at his professor’s house for the last week. May he admit it or not, everything changed when Yunho had that stupid amnesia. Jaejoong, who was once staying at their dorm, left and Yunho was not himself anymore. He was not even the same best friend he knew even before they’ve met the pale-skinned man with a voice of an angel that he envied so much.

“You’ll grow roots if you keep on standing there”. And he was startled upon hearing the voice of his friend, he unconsciously placed his left hand above his raging heart beat.

“you startled me!”. he complained, glaring at the shorter man leaning on the kitchen’s entrance with a smirk plastered on his handsome face.

Junsu laughed wholeheartedly as he walked closer to his friend that’s now sitting on the single white sofa of their small living room, staring at the ceiling as if in deep thought.

“hey I’m sorry. i didn-“.

“what was Tiffany doing here?”. He cut him off and watched how Junsu’s smile turned into a deep frown as it sat on the other sofa placed opposite to the one he’s sitting at.

The red haired student sighed, an action that he noted that he keeps on doing because of his sick friend.
“Yun -“. He stopped, startled as his friend suddenly sat up straight, eyes comically wide looking at him.

“she slept with Yunho? when did this start? Why didn’t I -“.

“would you let me finish first!?”. Junsu snarled, giving his over-panicking friend the scariest glare he could manage and he rejoiced in his head when the other nodded idiotically at him.

“remember that time when Yunho uttered Jae’s name before he fainted. He asked me who Jaejoong was. I want to tell him everything that time, so tha -“.

“why didn’t you?”. the other cut him the second time and he threw a pillow at him out of annoyance.

“I promised aunt Jessica that I wouldn’t say a word and if only you saw how confuse Yunho was when he found out on his dream that he love Jaejoong -“. He sighed and closed his eyes. He didn’t expect that things will be complicated as it is now, what more if he knew that Jaejoong is carrying Yunho’s child.

“he looked so lost then after that, he started bringing girls like he used to do in the past. I got mad and scolded him but his eyes tells me that there’s something going on inside his head that he refused to tell me”.

YooChun frowned at the information he just heard. ‘how could Yunho enjoy himself while Jaejoong suffers’. He stood up; anger overcoming his sanity, all he wants to do now is punch his best friend so hard that he’s going to remember everything after. He couldn’t believe how fucking insensitive he was, after knowing that he loves Jaejoong. Fuck that!

He strode with heavy, angry footsteps towards Yunho’s room when a hand stop him, its slim fingers curling, grasping him on his right arm tightly, and it was enough for him to know that his friend is against to what he’s about to do.

“he needs to kno -“.

“nothing happened. All the girls he took home, including the one you saw earlier”. Junsu calmly said, slowly letting his friend go with his tight hold when YooChun turned to look at him, confused.

He took a deep breath. “as I have told you, he’s hiding something. Yes, he went far as making out with those girls, stripping their clothes and whatever they did but he can’t fuck any one of them, Chun”. He looked at his friend helplessly, silently asking him to explain what was happening to their friend.

And YooChun could only shook his head, feeling tired even more than he is earlier as he slowly processed in his brain everything that’s happening yet he can’t come up with any answer and with that, he just hoped that everything will turn out good

for he can’t bear to see Yunho, most especially Jaejoong to suffer more in this game that fate has given them.

--------------------

He placed his both hands inside his jacket pocket as the wind blew stronger on his direction. He can’t sleep; he didn’t want to sleep for he can’t bear to see that dream again.

A shiver ran down his spine just by thinking of it and he shrugged it away as he walked inside their school building, ignoring students that greeting him as he walked by them.

He checked every room possible where he could see him but no matter how hard he try, he always find none, not even a shadow nor the scent that he keeps on craving for, for the past week.

After making a call to his mother that same day that Junsu told him that Jaejoong is his life, he was barely at rest. He wanted to know everything that moment, but his mother refused to tell him on the phone and he agreed immediately; now he’s waiting for another week until his parents come back from their trip abroad and it didn’t help that he dreamt of the most unnecessary thing that very same day.

He wants to gain back his memory, to know how much he loves Jaejoong and not how they make love.

Yunho slumped on a chair on one of the empty classroom he tried to search the pale student at. He has been doing this for almost a week now, and he wanted to slap himself when he just realized, just now, that he never saw Kim Jaejoong after their last meeting at the hospital.

he ignored the hard thug he felt inside his chest at the thought of not seeing the beautiful boy anymore. He covered his face using his both hands before heaving a deep sigh. He had tried to divert his attention by flirting and bringing home girls, hoping he was just confuse and over analyzing what Junsu had told him.

But nothing works, he can’t even kiss any of them properly and when he closed his eyes to feel pleasure, all he can see, hear and smell is Jaejoong.

Jaejoong.

Jaejoong.

Jaejoong.

He know he was being overly dramatic the fact that he was the one who pushed him away but he couldn’t help asking himself why Jaejoong didn’t do anything to talk to him even once. If they are really together, why did he suddenly disappear? He was aware that his instinct are not to be trusted, it had failed him countless times as he could remember, but this time was different, he have a gut feeling that people around him are hiding something, most specifically his mother.

he slumped further onto his seat, fingers running through his dark brown locks before pulling them hard, his grip on them tightening even more as he feel pain reaping through his scalp before let go and hit his head once with his fist.

“stupid fucking head! Why do you have to forget!?”. He hissed, frustrated. How he wanted to cry right now. He can’t even remember how he love Jaejoong, he was suppose to hate him but his stupid heart kept hurting each time the pale beauty’s hurt expression flashed in his head.

Yunho stood up and about to throw the chair and make a fuss inside the empty classroom when he felt someone’s presence standing at the room’s entrance. He turned around; lips pressed into a thin line and was going to outlet his anger and frustration to the new comer

Only to have his small, almond-shaped eyes widened at the realization of who it was.

------------

Jaejoong hurriedly walked through the hallway; avoiding stares of student as he pass by them, even though he knew that they won’t be able to know who he is. As usual, he was hiding himself under the sanctuary of his oversize, hello kitty hoodie still he have to rush for he knew that Changmin will kill if he found out that he left the house.

He grabbed the chance of sneaking out to get his few things left at school. They’ve already agreed that he’s going to stop studying and just stay at home until he gave birth to ensure the safety of the both of them. Jaejoong wanted to retaliate, but he knew that he will never win. It’s 2 versus 1 anyway.

He placed his things inside the backpack he brought on the way to the university in a rush, heart beating erratically, worried that his older brother or Yoochun might see him and as lady luck teased him, he heard a student’s voice calling for his brother.

Out of fear, the blonde student hastily closed his locker and walked towards the farthest part of the hallway where he knew classrooms are seldom use. He was too engrossed thinking what he will say if he gets caught, that his feet started to hurt from that short walk.

Dr. Cho explained to him that it was normal for a vein in his back is being press as the fetus grow inside of him. He pouted and touched the small bump in his abdomen, so small you wouldn’t even notice that it’s there. He was aware and scared at the same time for the baby, between his 28 to 32 weeks he have to undergo caesarean section to gave birth to his angel but Kyunhyun said that his baby is going to be small.

Jaejoong sighed, halting his steps as he looked at his tummy. “but you’re so small in there, honey. You have to grow and be strong like daddy Yunho”. he lovingly said, voice gentle despite the longing lacing it.

He sighed and decided to rest inside a classroom, hands still caressing his abdomen when his body froze; he held on his breath as he stared at the gorgeous student looking straight back at him.

“Yunho”. he called inside his head. He wants to run towards the man he loves, and touch him. Touch him to know that he was really there, looking at him with that hazel colored orbs with adoration but his body refrained to move as he started to tremble.

Yunho stared. He just stared not believing that Jaejoong is there, standing in front of him. He felt numb. His body refused to move as they stared at each other and he clearly saw how that gorgeous, angelic face turned pale.

He hurriedly ran towards Jaejoong when the latter fell on his knees. He felt him trembling at the first touch of his hand to that frail body, and he didn’t know what to do when he noticed that the smaller man was not breathing at all.

He kneeled in front of him as he removed the hood covering its head and gently cupped its face with his own trembling hands. He gently tilted its head so he could look at him straight in the eye and the moment their eyes met, he then pleadingly whispered the words;

“breathe for me, Jae. Please breathe for me”.
