Sitting in my laptop workspace, my Chanel bag graces a wood-stained workspace. A leaflet of paper leans against my laptop. My Cafe Mocha, parallel to my excessively large English anthology, emphasizes that I am nowhere near finished writing about Paradise Lost. I am poetic. I am critical. I am listening to Morrissey.

taking time to smell the campus coffee.
I'm barely between classes enjoying some mid-morning texting with the left-over taste of Cafe Mocha in my mouth. I was able to sit & people-watch in the campus coffee shop, where I noticed quite a few things. Kindness goes a long way. Sitting by yourself is good for you. My friend Melissa just posted that she decided she would get dressed up one morning and while enjoying a coffee at a local coffee shop, was approached by a guy who told her that she was "absolutely gorgeous". wow. now I feel like an ass jerk for posting my last fairly feminist entry.
i think i'll wear a dress tomorrow. -

My top 10 least favorite things about the college-male species.
1. Spitting in the grass/on the sidewalk/out the window as I'm talking to you.
2. Dip. [Goes hand in hand, er, hand in mouth, with spitting, I guess]
3. Hitting the door open for you as they walk out instead of holding it open.

I was on the biggest happy high today, & Jimmy Eat World just came on so Lord knows that happy high is still going.
It's one of the best weeks I've had in a long time, and it feels a little like a hug from Heaven. You know. One of those really tight ones where you feel comfortable just being held & can't help but smile.

There is nothing more college-like than laying out in the sunshine with my sorority sisters, watching tan boys play sand volleyball, developing pointless crushes, & listening to Lady Gaga on my ipod.
