Skinned alive
"Fourrure Torture" - французская ассоциация против жестокости по отношению к животным (появилась в 2004-ом), участвующая в международной кампании, призывающей людей отказаться от ношения одежды, сделанной из натурального меха животных. Активисты занимаются просветительской деятельностью, пикетируют ателье мод и магазины, собирают подписи за законодательный запрет торговли "меховыми изделиями" и т.д.
"Skinned alive" - музыкальное видео, при помощи которого активисты пытались достучаться до обывателей, равнодушных к проблемам этического отношения к животным и к идеологическому пафосу зоозащитных милитантов, но откликающихся на параллели с гуманным отношением к домашним питомцам, испытывающих шок, когда доводится столкнуться вживую или на экране со сценами истребления диких животных или механизированного убийства на скотобойнях, птицефабриках и т.д.
Вегетарианство, веганство - возможно, это не всем по силам. Отказ от ношения меховой одежды - только лишь вопрос осознанного выбора, которому без труда может следовать кто угодно (см. акция российских зоозащитников " Ваша мода несёт смерть!" via ihavexx ).
