Things I didn't think.

Some things I didn't think [spoilers of various things ahead]:

1.) I didn't think Deadwood had the capacity to shock me any further midway into its third season, but it did. Specifically, Dan's fight in the thoroughfare. That shit was crazy. Really enjoying the third season after a bit of a slump in the second. Having a clearly defined villain is ( Read more... )

Pluto
Just finished reading that this week too. Sometimes bordering on the over melodramatic but darn it, it works! Some of the plot points are strangely woven and one has to make some assumptions (teddy bear bot would have Abullah's AI since it was missing?)

I just assumed that Abullah/Goji's AI had jumped into Bora's body for the big end battle. I figured the teddy bear was simply an independent third party.

I've only just discovered Anders Nilsen and after reading the description if "Don't Go Where I Can't Follow" I really want to hunt a copy down.

I agree w/ you on the Pluto ending. Felt pretty abrupt to me too... especially with most of the series being this incredible BUILD UP towards... something. I dunno. I still enjoyed most of it, though.

Yeah, I think given how good the build up was, I'm not sure you could put together any kind of ending that would be able to match our own expectations. Still, the build up itself is a great ride.
