Author's Note: I don't like how this turned out, but I've never been good at Les Mis fics anyway (and especially not under the influence of cold medicine). I'll post it anyway and see what feedback people have.
Grantaire looked around the room. There was no one else there now; they had all gone already, and as always, he was left behind. This time though, no one was going to come back for him.
“Grantaire!”
He turned and saw Enjolras in the doorway, his eyes boring a hole into Grantaire, as always.
“Are you joining us?”
“Do you want me to?”
“Everyone does.”
“Do you want me to join you?”
“Yes.”
Marius walked into the café, but he didn’t know why. The usual presence was gone. His friends were dead; the room was always going to be empty.
