FUCK FUCK FUCK I UNRESERVEDLY HATE EVERYONE WHO'S SEEN INCEPTIONGoddammit, if I were working just a little less, and were just a little less of an insane introvert, this wouldn't be happening. UGH CUSTOMER SERVIIIIIICE. It's gotten to the point where the days I'm not working are the days where I'm just fucking DONE with people: having to be around

Also, GEEZ, con a friend or two into going and just don't let it stretch into an all-day hang-out-a-thon. Or you could do like I did at grad school - I got so sick of trying to get people to go to movies with me or organize movie trips when they DID agree that I finally said "fuck it" and learned to go to movies by myself. It's still kinda weird and I won't go by myself at peak hours but I'd rather see the dang film.

Also, you should not feel so bad. Once you see it, you will be envying the people who saw it in IMAX or who have ALREADY SEEN IT TWICE WTF like I am. ;)

i really, really feel you on the movie thing/people thing. like, i've written posts almost exactly like this in the past. about going to see movies, going out to dinner, all sorts of stuff. the stress and anxiety of being around other people (even people who you're not with, but are just existing nearby) can be enough to make me entirely nuts. so know that you're not alone. (including with regards to inception, because i really want to see it but have had a million circumstances keeping me from it).
also i agree with the others. if you can find a lower-stress time (early in the day is often good, movie-wise), just go on your own! it can feel weird, but sometimes better than having to deal with other people.
sending love.
