ARGH FORCING MYSELF TO JUST FUCKING POST

Oct 22, 2010 21:41

I always get like this every year, where I start posting like once a month (IF THAT), and it is so annoying. I'm sorry, ladies and gents. I feel like a giant douche :|

ANYWAY. POINTS OF INTEREST:

1. I have finally caught the flu-thing that's been going around my family, so I spent today curled up on the couch in my pajamas reading Merlin fic and ( Read more... )

That line of emoticons sums up my reaction to the episode too. I ... I think I'm butthurt that it was a wasted opportunity? I am pretty sure 'parody' does not actually involve copying the ridiculed subject in absolute earnest to the point that it actively becomes what it's parodying. In a better programme that MIGHT have been meta, but here, no. :/ Come on, show.

YOU KNOW FOR YOUR INTERNSHIP? YEAH, I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT YOU TOLD ME LAST TIME BUT FOR THAT KIND OF WORK, I HOPE YOU GET PAID? LIKE, A LOT? LEAN ON THE BITCHES, YOU EARNED IT.

You guys can come to my house on Halloween. I have a black cat. I am only THIS close to dropping change and getting him a hotdog costume to wear.

UGH, yes. Agreed. It's creepy and rapey when "Robert" stalks the girl and watches her sleep and angsts about not not being able to ~*resist her blood*~ and not wanting to ~*hurt*~ her, but it's tragic and noble when Dean does it? REALLY, SHOW? Also I love how after two seasons of the "Sam drinks demon blood and can't help himself!!!!!" variety hour, Dean of course manfully resists. Oh, Show :|

LOL IT'S A NON-PAID INTERNSHIP :| :| :|

I would so be down with that. I wanna snuggle the life out of Geoff the Spaz Cat, ESPECIALLY if you wrangle him into wearing a hotdog costume lolololol.

1. PLEASE tell me that - aside from all of the other NUMEROUS problems with Show this week - the editing bothered you, too. Because DAMN. That...ugh! It was just so awful.

2. These are all very good points. :D

3. YAY INTERNSHIP! Great to hear that it's going so well, although I am sad-faced that your workload is kinda oof right now. Keep up the good work, missy!

4. I will join you in the uber-lame Halloween club. I've always had to either just do a movie marathon with a friend or con my friends into having a "party" (which usually involved a movie marathon) because when your bday is so close to Halloween people tend to ignore your bday. You gotta be STEALTHY! I think I might just be handing out candy to kids this year, though, since life keeps switching between painfully lame slumps and HOLY SHIT HIGH DRAMA!

Did you ever get my email or did I fail at internet that day?

OH, that's right! I'll probably be watching The Walking Dead and Sherlock on Halloween.

1. OH MY GOD YES. I couldn't figure it out at first, I was like, "Other than the obvious reasons, WHY am I so disgruntled right now?" AND THEN I REALIZED.

4. I can totally sympathize with the holiday/bday conundrum. My birthday is December 21st, so you bet your sweet ass I got a shitload of "combo" gifts when I was younger. I don't care anymore, but my younger self was not impressed >:(

Your Halloween plans sound wonderful. I keep forgetting The Walking Dead is starting! I've seen pre-air screeners of the first ep go up, but damn, why would people choose to miss the ambiance of watching it on HALLOWEEN? C'MON ( ... )

My brother's bday is the day after yours so he's had to deal w/ the "double gifts," too. My parents & I tend to buy him presents for both at once and then decide in the wrapping phase what gets to be birthday and what's Christmas. ;)

I kinda figured you got it. I know you well. ;) *hugs*

Well, judging by how busy you are right now I don't blame you for not wanting to completely overwhelm your schedule. That's how assignments go from pushing-the-deadline to never-handed-in. I just figured it might help to have the "older sister"-type nudging you a bit from the sidelines. You still should update the resume, though.

Also? You will get rejected. A LOT. Everybody does. Don't take it personally. *hugs* It's never not crappy but you can't let it overwhelm you. Remember, I'm here for the anxiety & the tearing out of hair. :)

Also also? What are your written materials for your vampire class? Or is it all viewing & lecture? I is curious.
