Turn back while you can!apey1013December 13 2010, 20:34:22 UTC
Already mentioned it on twitter but FAIR WARNING for your jonesin' for a marathon: when I got the extended edition of the LotR DVDs my brother & I decided to watch ALL OF THE THINGS (as Allie Brosh would say) thinking that we'd finish in a weekend. IT TOOK US 7 DAYS OF CONSTANT MOVIE/FEATURES WATCHING I'M NOT KIDDING. Ate up a good chunk of the holidays that year. Not to mention my grandparents decided to visit then so I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to explain to my grandfather how they get the trolls into the computers to make the CGI (seriously).
It ranks right up there with the 2 straight days I stayed up watching the entirety of Twin Peaks in one go - pausing only for the bathroom & food. O_o
I've been through the gauntlet and I can safely say that marathoning should not be taken lightly. And possibly pre-planned. And you might want to employ the buddy system so you don't forget to eat. ;)

AHHHHHH OMG THAT SOUNDS LIKE SO MUCH FUN. I definitely need to rope a couple of my local fangirls into something like this. I haven't geeked out quite that seriously in a very long time. NEEDS MORE LOTR!
Uhhhmm I definitely spent all of Saturday evening reading Blood Moon (and curling my toes and biting my lip) and I kind of hate you. EXCEPT NOT REALLY. *_*
