Hey so I am super excited for you but I have no idea what a production assistant does. lol. So what does the job actually entail?

A lot of different things: running cable, feeding tape, trasporting talent, keeping guests out of shooting areas (if not wanted), occasionally shooting footage, occasionally assisting in editing, running projectors...that sort of thing--most def a 'first step job' in the film/production world. But you have to pay your dues somewhere!
