I'm sorry you still feel rotten. Your attitude rocks though. I hope that those stupid steroids kick in soon so you can get better and get off them! I know what you are talking about with the crazy sleeping... I would fall asleep sitting up on the couch at 3pm, sleep 2 hours, then be off and running for like 46 hours straight!

Your mom sounds awesome. I'm glad you have such a wonderful support network!

Thank you so much for your support. It helps so much!!

Yeah, Mom takes good care of me. She's the one who sits up with me when I'm sick, no matter how tired she is. She has Fibro and has been on disability for awhile now. She also has IBS and probably undiagnosed Crohn's when she was in her 20s, so she's really understanding.

How are things with you? I haven't checked my flist page in awhile, I'm sure there's an update!

I went to work today, then to Target with Mom and Dad. I'm beat!! my bed is very welcoming, though. And my Uncle brought over a bag of books, so I have lots of reading!

My mom sounds just like yours - won't leave my side, has Fibro, IBS, and probably undiagnosed Crohn's.

I'm doing ok! Nothing major going on. Just livin' life until a great epiphany comes to me. ;)

Wouldn't it be nice if those epiphanies came on a regular basis?

Since you are a reader I must recommend Blindsided. It's written by Meredith Viera's husband, who was a very successful journalist before he was stricken with MS. It is the most honest and heartfelt account of an illness I've ever read. It made me feel like I was not the only one out there with more than I could really carry placed on my shoulders. It was sad at times, but it really inspired me.

I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!

Have you read Kitchen Table Wisdom? The author has Crohn's, is an MD and was a counselor for patients with cancer for a number of years. It has stories for all stages of healing and she includes some from her own experiences.
