YOOOOOOOOOOO i had verizon for 4 years, got SO FED UP with them and just switched to cingular and even though i never have reception in my house, i LOVE it. their customer service is awesome, when you go in, you don't have to wait 10 hours to just hear them say "sorry, nothing we can do" SWITCH SWITCH SWITCH -Amy :P
one of these days I'll post my horror story from October, I hope I NEVER have to deal with Lock/Line Cell Phone Insurance and/or Verizon customer service people again, lol.
And your house is a black hole for all cell-phone reception, like mine, right? lol although apparently my house gets a few bars of cingular service now.
haha all the more reason to get cingular, and yeah my house is a black hole of cingular reception, verizon works in it, but nothing works in the basement.
Sorry, I know you think you're clever, but I'm actually not going to even touch the iPhone--too many bugs in its initial version. I'm actually looking at the LG Shine, it's a UK phone that I'd buy unlocked and then pop in my SIM card.
You know what I have ;). And you should get Cingular too and save us a little money ;). I'm happy with Cingular, but my parents are the ones who pay for it so I really don't know as much about it as I should. But we've always found the customer service helpful especially when we've had problems with how we were being billed/plans, they were ready, willing, and able to make special accomodations for us. Coverage has always been good... I can even get some service in your house! And also, just from a personal perspective, I consider any cell phone and cellular company that does not have GSM to be prehistoric and a complete deal-breaker for me, for obvious reasons. Once you've had GSM, you never go back ;).
Yeah, I have to have a SIM phone. You'll never go back. I just can't believe we're so behind on cell phone technology in the US. It's incredible to me. Do American LGs not have SIM chips?
Is your family getting service in your basement now? 'Cause I've got to warn you, when I did it was only a little bit and only for certain windows of time, not the whole time we were down there, I don't think, anyway.
Unrelated but I think I got heatstroke again when I was in Portugal week before last... Luckily I didn't faint, though ;) (of course there are also no subways in Lagos)...
Well, the basement thing is only a nice extra perk anyway, lol but regardless I'm still heavily leaning towards joing up with you crazy cingular orange people--err, new AT&T customers---err, whatever the hell the network is calling itself now, lol
