The weekend went really well.

Read about it here:

Thursday= left school at 1:00-ish, ate gas station food, departed for Brookings. We got there last, Kroll looked mad, cause it was five minuted before we had to be there as we were pulling into the parking lot. Quite amusing. We rode to Rapid. Bus ride was all right, a bit boring. We ate, and then went to the hotel. Very nice for a Days Inn. I talked to the Milbank people for quite a long time, and then it was lights out. Kelley and Ashley didn't want to stay awake with me, and because I can't sleep for more than 6 hourse, I was up by 6:30 the next morning.

Friday= Was up at 6:30. Showered, and ate breakfast at the hotel. While I was dining, Dustin came into the breakfast area. I was surprised he was awake that early; nevertheless, he sat down and we talked. He was up in order to get the paper and see who was pitching the Boston game, and we talked for about 45 minutes before his paper came. At 9:00, the Milbank kids left for Mount Rushmore, so I decided to go with, because I was bored. I was sickened by the billboards littering the otherwise beautiful landscape. We walked roughly a mile and a half, and I realized just how out of shape I am. On the ride back, Emily and I discussed man's desire to own everything, and the lack of respect for the beauty that is the environment. Student Congress was really fun, I have to say. I was a total note whore, and I was totally flirting with Pistulka (aberdeen) and Dan Alexander (from Huron). It was really fun, the whole time. I gave the authorship speech for Sharp's bill and it was fun. That night, fun at the hotel. Oh yeah. Bed at 12:30 because we had to be up at 5:30 to get ready, and because the meeting lasted so long that it couldn't be longer (long meeting because Brady and Fuchs ask stupid questions). Yeah.

Saturday=Up at 5:30 to shower. I was the first one up (durp) and had a really hot shower, which is funny. No one else did. Breakfast at the hotel. I took a bagel for lunch : ) I plan like that. Student congress went well. I spoke once during the morning, cause I was blocking Tidemann (note: I did not want to block him. He's too nice and funny, and I WANTED him to qualify). The afternoon was fun, because there were more fun bills. I talked three times. The best was on Ashley's bill about Wal-Mart. It was eloquent, and I totally got my point across that Wal-Mart was terrible. The others were against trying Bush as a war criminal (because the whole administration should be tried), and for changing the National Motto from "In God we trust" to "What would Jesus do." It was a funny resolution.

Ride Home on Saturday= looong. Mike and I had a confrontation right away which was terrible. He said some really mean things, and I ended up crying for about an hour. Tommy assured me that what he said was not true, and I ended up getting over it before we got to Wall for dinner. The rest of the ride was fun. I realized at the gas station that I looked stoned. Ha. Tom is really, really funny. I wanted to just sit by him and take in his amusingness. Damnit. Oh, and I'm sure the whole Brookings team thinks I am a freak. I don't care. Also, I had so much fun with Milbank this weekend, I was so fun. They're ALL fun, and not exclusive. I like them more than my own team.

I hate billboards. They make everything so ugly and corporate. I also hate how humans think they are so much better than everything else. Person-kind (that's for petee) has no right to think they own everything, to say that they are the best race, and to ruin everything. If there were no environment, there would be no people. Durp.

I dread school tomorrow.

I want to move to Milbank. Then, to New York.

Adieu for now. I want to read.
