Traffic today was insane, so I got to work a little later than usual...I could have taken the bus, but I wanted to talk to my dad, so I waited for him to come pick me up. Last night he called and said he was taking Mom to Urgent Care because her right arm was purple with bruises and they weren't sure why. For those of you who don't know, my mom

glad to hear your mom doesn't need surgery. How do you rupture a bicep? I didn't even know that was possible. I am not looking forward to the (most likely) day when I'm put on serious blood thinners- because I bruise pretty easily with my aspirin regiment.

O: Purple camels can have some internal blood leakage like this and not have to worry about appearance because it wouldn't even show :-)

Usually ruptured biceps (actually the tendon that connects the muscle to the bone at either end) is a problem for weight-lifters and the like. Just google "ruptured bicep" and you'll learn more than you want to know.
