I honestly think a lot about it is luck. Perhaps shy guys are into you, but don't have the courage to say anything. It also can be just that maybe if you lived elsewhere with more people (and more options) it wouldn't be so hard. I mean, there are more possibilities when it comes to living in NYC compared to a rural area.
But yeah. It isn't like you don't have a ton of amazing qualities. I think a lot of it is just luck and circumstances that may stop us from getting what we need. Unfortunately things like this aren't totally in our control :( if being a great person guaranteed finding someone no matter where you are you would totally have nothing to worry about.
