Yes, I know what you mean. I think the key is in simplicity. How can you REALLY overcome the fear for such feelings linked to the impermanence of everything concerned with human life? Many people try to leave at least a sign of their passage, of their existance, others just get sucked away and mesmerized by such a bigger than logical thought reality. I think the only solution is to learn, educate oneself to let go. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Learn what's really important (love, friends...). Do only what you love. We are just passengers. Life is a game. Play it. Learn to appreciate the everyday. The particulars and the moments. Cause that's what life is made of. just the whole of those little special moments. I don't believe in a god therefore I do not know what you mean when referring to something not of the material realm. What do you mean?

Just kidding, but to be honest, and to echo what you said, the greatest peace and connection I find is in music (or a flower, or a child that hasn't been taught fear) :-)
