I know how you feel. I'll either be out of here November 1st or April 1st and I'll probably have to put B to sleep. I'm panicked. But most people here beat dogs and he's still young and isn't used to regular evil people. I'm afraid he'll get hit by a car or sold to nomads or sold to Nigeria where they'll eat him.
I'm not kidding. I couldn't bear that for him. I love LUUUUV my dogger. I think it's more humane to put him to sleep before I go.
I know how you feel. OH do I ever. Part of me wants this week to last forever. After I take you to the airport, it's back to New Haven to pack up my entire apartment in 4 days (ahhh). Saying goodbye to CT on June 30th. Then I get to do the all-day drive again 3 days later (back to NYC, then another 7 hours to Maine on the 5th! At least I won't be alone on the second leg.)
Maine will be a nice three weeks of reprieve - and I'm sure my mind will be on the work and so there won't be a whole lot of time to brood, at least hopefully. But July 25th is coming up way too soon - the day I've been dreading for about a year . . .
