OK. Day 6 in Bornheim (or as I like to call it, Boringheim). I'm slowly losing my sanity. Derek had his "Matriculation" yesterday, if that's even what you can call it. Basically he handed in some forms, we shopped, then went to a question and answer session for 30 minutes which made me want to die a little

Just my two cents, but even though it completely sucks to have to borrow cash from parents, if it's the only way you can afford your own place, DO IT. You're already in a foreign country, you need to have a place of your own, a little amerika or you'll go insane.

Oh and if you need extra cash, check around about giving private english lessons. You can make a killing, you don't have to report it or need a workpermit or anything and it's easy. Check where the expat community is in your town - they might be able to point you in the right direction. Otherwise, just start asking friends. Someone will be able to get you started doing that. Easy cash, my friend!

I know. I'm all about taking money from my dad but I think it makes Derek feel bad. But I figure, he's got way more than he's ever going to spend!

And I've heard that about English lessons. Iäm considering it. I just worry that my grasp of English grammer is so poor that I wouldn't do the poor people any good. I guess if nothing else I can just tell them how to say things. I speak English real good!
