Let me tell you what ... most people say the second year of college is the worst. One of my professors even spent a lecture period on this very subject. I mean, it's right about the time that the fun and "newness" of college wears off, but at the same time, you aren't very close to graduating, either, so its hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Although there is nothing you can do about being unwell (feel better!!) or your professors leaving, you might shake your year up a little bit with a funky class outside of your major or a travel experience, if your school offers them (perhaps during a vacation period?).
Needless to say, junior year is a bit more fun (except for finding a job stress!).

YOU ARE ME!!!

Except you're going down the Performance major path without reservations....good for you! (I'm kinda doing that now too, except I'd rather do Jazz performance but then I would doubly broke...so I'm settling for business)

1) SLOW DOWN: It's so easy to get involved in everything, but its not required

2) FORCE YOURSELF TO DO SOMETHING FUN: Videogames, fun reading, TV, whatever. Don't let the "guilt" of not working on something make life suck

3) TALK TO PEOPLE: They can emphathize! (I spelled that wrong)

Ya....you start taking that advice, and so will I!

surprisingly, i'm not involved in everything, we only have two(well, three) choirs, and i don;t do theatre or anything. also, i'm not going the performance path, i want to be an educator. but thanks for the advice, we'll see what happens.
