but his death made some things better. my heart melted toward some people whom i had been really cold toward. i learned about things being taken away. i learned about rock hard hearts and how they can change. i learned that i have absolutely no control over ultimate things

Is that I understand..that really offers no comfort ,resolve, or anything else.. But for what its worth, there it is. My hope for you is that you are able to enjoy the life that you have been given to the best of your ability..and that you live it out in a way that aligns you with some purpose "For the greater good" ...whatever that may be to you.
