I forgot to take into account that choosing courses and availability of courses at university are two very separate things. I've been living in lala college land where courses are just offered year round and where teachers don't take sabbaticals...turns out all the courses I had in mind are all wait-listed, in the winter session or not offered at

Welcome (back) to U of T. I waited four damn years for the shakuhachi flute course that was listed in the syllabus to actually be offered. Those years came and went, and then I graduated. So much for that.

To get what you want at U of T, I suggest logging into ROSI the INSTANT registration opens, and snap everything that you want up immediately.

I knew I was setting myself up for a rude awakening by waiting this long to choose my courses. I actually thought registration started this week hence why I was getting so anxious all of a sudden. I shouldn't even deserve this second chance but luck was on my side this time. I have a feeling I just used my one get out of jail free card. Hopefully I'll wise up fast.
I'm going to choose some backup courses and the moment that thing opens next Tuesday I'm gonna go grabbing.
I can't believe you actually waited years for a course! And yet my memory is being sparked to similar situations during my first time there. That is so frustrating! Bloody tenured profs and there teach-when-feel-it attitude!

Ohmigod! I forgot about phone registering! What a pain that was! I was so glad when they introduced the web-based system. What I can't understand is why some courses already have a waiting list even though registration hasn't begun yet-- like, it was published in the book that way...there is a piece of the puzzle I'm missing.
